Mealz On Wheelz isn’t just a food trailer—it’s our family’s full-throttle leap of faith, born on the backroads of Delaware.

Long before there was a griddle on wheels, there were two sailors standing in the same Navy boot camp division. Chris and Katie joined the Navy on the same day, met during boot camp, began dating after graduation and married at their first duty station in Hampton Roads, Virginia. From the beginning, their life together has been built on service, hard work and figuring things out side by side.

Chris’s love for the restaurant business began while growing up in Oklahoma. After serving in the Navy, earning his bachelor’s degree, MBA and master’s degree in supply chain management, he spent years leading large operations for Target and Amazon. Eventually, the pull to build something of his own—and build it alongside his family—became stronger than the comfort of a corporate career.

Katie began her healthcare career as an LPN before joining the Navy in 2010. After her service, she continued advancing her education, earning both her ADN and BSN while raising three children and working full-time as a registered nurse. Today, she trades her scrubs for the title of Smash Queen whenever the Wheelz hit the road.

What began as a dream became a veteran-owned, family-operated roadside experience centered around bold flavors, fresh smash burgers, house-made sauces and the bacon jam that fuels it all. We believe food should be built with intention, served with heart and always be worth pulling over for.

Every stop is a family effort. Chris serves as the Smash King, Katie keeps the operation rolling as the Smash Queen, Lexi directs Burger Media, Graci brings the energy as Chief Hype Officer and Dustin makes sure everything meets the standard as our Quality Control Manager.

Our faith remains at the center of the journey. Psalm 18:28 reminds us that God can bring light into the darkest seasons and keep the fire burning when the road ahead is uncertain. Mealz On Wheelz is proof that sometimes the unexpected detour is exactly where you were meant to go.
